what this means it takes a lot of work and dedication to helping others and doing the right thing to earn a good reputation that people know you by and trust . and it only takes one mistake to loose your good reputation which is very hard to get back and earn people trust back .

What it sounds like he is saying is One evil deed makes you an evil person for life Just like I say to people there is no forgiveness so why should I forgive.one mistake doesn't show your character or Morales.Ben Franklin is full of it
